6, Boat courses

 I write it today about a famous boat course.

 

 At first, I write it about the Toda boat course that sacred place of the boat course of Japan. It was maintained at the time of the Tokyo Olympics as rowing ground. Here, a youth championship to decide Japan one 19 years or younger in Japan is head.

 Then, I write it about Tenryu, Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka boat course. The full length of the course comprises 2,000m, six lanes. Because the area of the sea of the dam is large, a wave is easy to grow big when wind blows, and the flow appears. A national high school selection boat meeting is held every year here in March.

 

 I write about a boat course overseas as for the next. The rowing ground of Eton, U.K. was a meeting place of the London Olympic Games. It is located the west of London near 40 km, Windsor Castle. The full length of the course comprises 2,200m, eight lanes. It is proud of a world eminent scale and is used after a meeting sequentially as training facilities and a meeting place.

5, Rowing around the world

 I write it about world rowing today.

 

It is said that the rowing originated in the U.K. At first I introduce the Henry Royal Regatta what is most famous classic boat race meet.

 

 The Henry Royal Regatta is carried out every year in five days of the first week of July. It is the historical meeting that has been performed every year except World War II from 1839. It began as town raising of Henry at first. However, I came to be called a Henry “royal” Regatta because the British Royal Family became a patron after 1851. Because participants increased year by year, it was postponed till five days to have been 1^st at first. It becomes the most authoritative boat race now in the U.K. where rowers gather from all over the world.

 At first the interesting place of this meeting is that there is an original rule. With the international rule, there is a rule unlike the standard rule of U.K. It is different in the distance of 1 race, and the name such as a pet name associated with the place not a meter is pounding the passage spot. Then not only merely boat race is carried out, but also it features it that the one side as the society event is big. Particularly, the clothes of the audience are unique. The man wears the blazer with the design of the showy color and stripe. The woman wears the gorgeous dress appropriate for the place of the official society, a hat. Because a climate is good, the U.K. of this season will be an ideal opportunity for society.

 

 I participated in a world youth boat championship of 2012. It was held in Bulgaria, and approximately 30 countries participated. Therefor the difference between foreign country and that I felt Japan is height way of rising of. The difference in national traits thought that there was a little, but, in the country (U.K., United States, Brazil, Poland) which after all rowing was major, and was strong, height way of rising of support was great. It is played big sports to support all over the country that are almost rowing without attracting attention in Japan when I step forward to the foot in the one step foreign countries. By the way, Hong Kong China is a strong country in Asia. I think in Japan that rowing should become major. In Asia, I think like Europe and the United States that rowing should become major.

 

    

4. Japanese rowers

 I write it about a rowing player of Japan today.

At first about a player called Daisaku Takeda. In one of the Japanese boat players, I belong to the team called Daiki. He is the first person of the rowing in Japan. After men single sculls champion by the all-Japan championship of 1997, he has the in history most championship record of 12 times of championship by the competition by 2013.

 He was from Iyo city, Ehime and graduated from Ehime University department of agriculture. He came across rowing in high school days. He did the cox of the competition of the 4-crew at first, but converted to single scull at the age of a second grader. And he expressed a brilliant figure in third graders and placed the fifth in an inter-high school athletic meet. I reached the Japanese tops sculler by an original exercise method and, in 1996, achieved Olympics first appearance in Atlanta meeting at the age of 23 years old. The starting dash of the world top-class is a characteristic and is a domestic unrivaled scalar. He plays double sculls in an international meeting. The sixth place won a prize by the Athens Olympic Games both in Sydney Olympic Games, 2004 in 2000. I participated in the London Olympic Games in Beijing Olympic, 2012 in 2008 and played 5 meeting continuations.

 The next about a player called Akiko Iwamoto. She was from Suwa sity, Nagano and graduated from Okaya south Nagano high school. She played an active part in the Waseda University rowing part in the college student days. She entered the Japan College of Health and Physical Education graduate school afterwards. She participated in the Sydney Olympic Games as a representative from Japan in 2000 during Waseda University attendance at school. After Japan College of Health and Physical Education graduate school completion, she participated in the London Olympic Games in Beijing Olympic, 2012 in Athens Olympic Games, 2008 in 2004 and participated in the Olympic Games for 4 consecutive years. In 2013, she retired in the Tokyo national polity, and will be with the manager of the IRISOHYAMA rowing team department to belong to in future.

 I introduced two boat players until now. There are a lot of boat players who play an active part elsewhere in the world in Japan. I want to introduce it still more, but will have this today. Please question the person who became interested in rowing!
